Katy Tiger, I think you are on the right track. After watching the Auburn debacle, I now believe LSU must look to sign one or 2 JUCO DT's.
But it is ridiculous what the SEC has done to not allow Travonte Valentine to play. I know there are many other positions where improvement is needed, but the defensive tackle play is not nearly up to its usual standards. Last year, it was often said that both Johnson & Ferguson were underachievers, but the results were a lot better, so maybe in comparison to this season, they played a bit better than many of us thought.
I think the lack of depth at DT is hurting the team and the failure of those three redshirt frosh to contribute much is magnified with Valentine not being available.
Of course, the playcalling has been terrible, and that is well recognized. So it is a combination of a several things--also the linebacker play has not been consistent and even those highly ranked DB's have not played as well as we projected.
And the coaching staff has been outdone certainly in the two SEC games.

Valentine couldn't hurt. But think abnout it, even if was Glenn Dorsey we were talking about, he wouldn't solve our DL problems as a true Fr.
