I know this team is young & growing pains are expected, it's tough for a true freshman to make his first start on the road in the SEC, & 3 years of early departures are catching up with LSU.....having said that:
80% Coaching
20% Talent/Youth
As stated before, this team is young but for frick's sake, if the coaches don't give the young players an opportunity to compete, then what fault is it of theirs? The gameplan was HORRIBLE, the white flag was waived on the first series. Again, the talent is young & raw but the coaches are doing nothing to develop them. If I keep talking, I may change my percentages to 99% & 1%.

I'll say this and then I'm going to play golf.
I can live with LSU struggling this year because the team is so young. I can live with them making mistakes because of said youth. I will watch every game and cheer for the players just like I always have.
That being said, I will no longer support a coaching staff that absolutely refuses to put the team, and particularly the younger players, in the best position to win. The ultra-conservative game plans and instilling that "play not to lose" mindset into these young players is unacceptable to me.

60% coaching
40% players
Coaches called an absolute shite-tastic game and did very little to put our players in a position to succeed.
As little as I like to admit it and the more I think about it, a lot falls on the players though.
I was fairly pleased with the way our O line opened lanes (like they did on 1st downs when the box wasn't stacked) and the fact that our WR's got open a fair bit. TE's did fair as well but my god, the QB play was putrid. I'm a huge BH suporter and think the world of the kid and truly believe that he'll bring us to the promise land before he's gone, but he played very poor last night. Probably just a huge case of the jitters, but I still have high hopes that he'll improve.
Defense, way too much to write. One positive is that they did play much better with Beckwith in the game and were decent the mast quarter and a half. Outside of that, they whiffed on more tackles than I can count, got juked out of their shoes a dozen times, didn't wrap up on countless tackles and took horrible angles on downfield tackles.
Overall, I think we can only my go up from here.
Edit for stupid autocorect errors
