What you're hearing is dust in the grooves. You can buy a cleaner or just use a sponge in warm water with a tiny drop of soap. With the damp sponge, just go around the record and follow the grooves. After that rinse it well, then dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.

Sharks, will definitely check those albums out. Just ordered some Stan Getz -- pretty pumped.
And after tinkering with the audio technica 120 I decided to send the thing back. Too many skips and the sound quality wasn't that great. Ended up buying a Project Carbon DC for $370 (basically brand new) from a reputable dealer. $370 and no tax = couldn't pass it up.
So pumped
