Spend the extra $$ on a ProJect Debut 3 and thank me later. The cartridge alone is worth the change over.
It is also a heavier table and thus will dampen vibrations better.
You can get them for $350 if you just haggle a little bit (Music Direct or Needle Doctor).

If you're only hearing it while the record is playing then it's not a grounding problem.
