they will all make it through the winter OK? I thought about some basil but someone else told me it would die off in the winter?

the rosemary should do fine here assuming we don't have a winter like last year. mostly anything you plant, aside from some dwarf camellias will die back in winter. you can always cover them to protect them during hard freezes
