Containment is not so much the problem. The thing can probably be contained here. Exposure is a huge problem though. There is no legitimate reason citizens in the US should have ever been exposed.

CDC administrators and their Washington DC directors should be eviscerated for their stupidity.

Let me put another thought out there.
This was no accident.

It was as predictable as darkness following sunset. Whatever the motivation, the CDC knew it was putting our citizens at risk. No quarantine of potential carriers meant Ebola was coming to the US. It was just a matter of time. I cannot believe Tom Frieden, even if he is an incompetent buffoon of first order, would proceed as he has without directives and/or encouragement to do so. In following that directive, he violated his hippocratic oath.
