I love em. People sit their lazy fat asses in these long lines burning $3.54 a gallon gas they can't afford to burn ( or they wouldn't be eating at some shitty fast food place in the first place), waiting to get screamed at and scream back into speaker with someone that usually struggles at English anyway.

I stroll in, and usually get my order a good bit ahead of the guys that pulled into the line the same time I drove up.
lol what?

I'll speak slower this time for you so maybe you can follow along.

So many people these days are too lazy to get out the car that long drive thru lines usually mean shorter lines inside. I go inside, get in shorter line than exists at the drive up and therefore I get served faster. Faster I get served, faster I can leave.

I don't burn all that gas waiting in line.
I have clearer communication with the order taker, and that means less likely to get the order wrong. It's even a little easier to check my order is correct before I walk out.
