Yep. Reminds me of Graf. Sleeping on bunk springs because apparently mattresses would break the budget.

My uncle died in France from a single sniper bullet to the head. He parachuted in, and received a field promotion and command after his team, including his Captain, were decimated. He pulled together the remaining elements of three other teams that also had major casualties, and led them into a small town, where he was taken out. This was on D-Day.

Last year, for the first time, I got to hold his blood stained bible that was taken off his body and returned to my grandmother by a fellow soldier, who told my dad and the rest of my kin about my uncle's bravery under fire and how he had helped save so many men in the field of battle. I shed tears of pride hearing this from my dad and holding that bible.

to all our military for their past and future sacrifices.

We have not always had the best military. We can safely say that since 1943 or so.

I won't comment because I have real issues with how our soldiers have been treated by liberal fricks due to their anti war campaigns.

Me too. I feel the same way.

I know that the love from the Dems lasts only so long as it's politically beneficial to love the military. As soon as they can, they go back to their normal anti-defense/anti-military ways.

Words don't mean much to me. If somebody SAYS "I love our men and women in uniform" that's not important to me. What's important to me is this: What have you DONE to help a Veteran or active duty military member or family?

In 1944, the German Army used "sharpshooter tactics" extensively. They were short on manpower, so, they would identify experienced soldiers who were good shots and placed them in church steeples and the like to look for good shots on officers, NCOs and anybody else who looked like he was leading soldiers or doing extraordinary things.

Your uncle was a brave paratrooper who was doing very brave and extraordinary things.

A salute to him from me, a fellow Paratrooper.

Are you a disabled vet? There are lots of vets who can help a fellow disabled vet you selfish shitbird.

What a low-life attitude you have about everything decent and good.

Yeah, looks like it (unfortunately) fell on deaf ears. Oh well. Much more to discuss/debate.

Still was a good OP by the young man.

Give some $$ to the Wounded Warrior Project. These guys [and their families] are in need of our help.
