Highly disagree.

Nobody in my family graduated from UGA, and only a couple even went there at all. Yet I started going to games at age 3 and by age 7 went to every home game every year. I've been raised a UGA fan since I could walk. I did end up going go UGA, but had I not gotten in and had to go elsewhere for education, I damn sure wouldn't have put that school above UGA. Ditto if I went somewhere for a graduate degree as well.

pshhhhh

I grew up in a huge UNC family and didn't get in.

Went to WVU and thats my school. When we played each other I was WVU full and full while the family rooted for UNC.

I know this is common, especially at larger schools. But I can't cheer for a college team if I never attended the school. I was never an LSU fan for that reason.

I'm not knocking people who do this, but it's not for me.
