I lived Stuttgart from 2009-2012. My cable provider, KabelBW, offered a sports package that included ESPN America. I was able to catch all the big games (even CBS broadcasts), as well as Sports Center and a few of the other sports shows, on that network. My provider was local to Baden-Württemberg, but I'm sure there's something similar in Thuringia. For smaller games, the overseas ESPN internet provider was called ESPNplayer as of a couple of years ago (It was ESPN 3 and ESPN360 before that, so the name may have changed again). It cost about EU90 per year (about $130 at the time) and allowed me to catch the smaller draws. Not sure if the introduction of the SEC network will affect that.

You can also look into getting a sling-box, but I'm under the impression that they aren't as popular as they were when I got to Germany almost six years ago. For NFL games, it might be worth it to buy an AFN receiver if you can swing it (don't know if you're military/govie or not).
