That looks like something you would put on a dog to stop snoring.
In all seriousness, I assume this works very well. Body harnesses only encourage pulling.

Do you have the patience to work with your dog? That is if he isn't deaf.
I'm only saying that because it takes a bit of effort to train a dog to meet a person's standards.
It took me a few months to nail down everything with my dogs and now I'm almost to the point of individually calling them to return to me.

He isn't deaf and I've been working every day with him. He's learned 2 commands so far but seems to be very busy and active. My other dogs are a distraction also. I need to learn to put them up when I'm working with the GS.

Broke, you ought to sell that dog to someone who can handle it.

I didn't read very far, but I just wanted to point out the difference between a pinch collar and a choke chain. They are very different and different dogs react different to each.

best and cheapest way is to educate yourself.
research the best training book for large dogs and/or shepherds.

Make sure and read about "collar conditioning" before putting the collar on your dog and zapping it.
a shock collar can have worse effects than you had before but when done correctly, it's one of the best tools out there.
