Rohan was a gamer. His performance against Tennesse in the OT game in 2000 was the catalyst for the great recruiting class the next year. That game annouced that LSU was on the way back.

We were so hungry then as a fanbase. Lost to UAB the week before and tore the goal post down after beating Tenn.

LSU fans were just happy to win a game back then. Limited expectations, pleased with any bowl game.

A lot has changed since then. Now fans under 30 and especially under 25 hardly remember bad times. Even us older fans have become spoiled with the recent success.

I used to go into games with no illusions about winning. Now I think we have a punchers chance or better in every game.

That was well known that Davey did not perform well in practice, but when the lights turned on he was money
