I'm really not that surprised. I already said earlier today I believed Miles would start Harris.
I may not think much of how Miles has handled QBs in his time, but, Harris did sort of make the choice awfully damned easy. There isn't a soul who knows football that wouldn't have been stunned if Miles had trotted Jennings onto the field first against AU.

IMO, if Jennings doesn't completely crap the bed, he's probably still the starter.
ETA: I agree with the poster above me that Harris took advantage and definitely earned his start. But, I don't think he gets that opportunity if Jennings plays average against NMSU instead of terrible.
