Thanks for the screen shot ForeLSU which confirms what I thought I've been seeing.

Obviously, if they're in the spread, you've got to put a man out on each. The four defensive linemen and one LB need to do some combination of rushing and shadowing the passer at the same time. Maybe 2 rush hard one play, the other 3 engage their man and lay back a bit (like they do when they suspect a screen). Each play, mix it up by sending 2, 3, 4, or all 5 hard.

A QB draw isn't a very common play.. Especially out of 5 wide. Like others said state's OC just happened to make the right call at the right time.

Welter could have disguised his blitz a little better though.

Chances this happens again are pretty slim
