random, but remember seeing Hunt for Red October there - and that lady with the big red hair would always sell the tix

the old blog abandoned baton rouge (from the above pic), has some really nice comments from people about the area in its heyday

Took my son and his birthday party there in late 90's. We had the kids line up in the aisle, then we carried each kid to their seat so that they wouldn't get stuck to the floor.

When it was a $1 theater, the old lady would line up stacks of change. You'd give her two bucks and she'd slowly slide the 92¢ stack of coins to you.
