Because people have emotional ties to Louisiana and it's teams. You can't tell people not to be emotionally attached to something they care about and want to see succeed.
I don't think we would see as many people complaining if we lose doing the best we can, but not from a sht show put on by the guys preparing the team that people pay to see.

You may not be able to effect the results of an individual game, but over the long term you sure as hell can. Keep the pressure on the coaches and players to win. Make sure they understand that this is not acceptable. And if they loss too much then can there arse and get someone who will do the job. The fans do play a part in this.
