its not the 1970s anymore Les. 3 yds and a cloud of dust doesn't work anymore. Hell even saban and bama have gone more spread.

See, I think you see the term "scheme" and assume it means running the ball against a loaded front.

When Miles says "scheme", he's saying that he is sticking to what he has always done.

What reasonable people need to realize is that, with the right personnel, Miles' scheme is one that works (see last year).

What Miles needs to realize is that, when the right personnel doesn't exist, falling back to running the ball into a loaded front might not be the best alternative...even if the other alternatives are also not great.

The reality is, this offense is going to struggle against any quality defense whether we throw it more often or not.
