It definitely is. That is why Whitehall looked the exact same age as his did in the flashbacks to right after the war. He experimented on her and discovered a way to gain or syphon off some her power. I'm thinking that Calvin/Hyde sewed her back together and allowed her to heal. That was the vibe that I kind of got from their conversation.
I'm curious as to what Gordon meant when he told Calvin that he had sealed Skye's fate. I'm guessing he was just talking about exposing her to the world, but I'm wondering if he also meant that she would now be a prisoner there just like Calvin is (despite everyone telling Skye she could leave whenever she wanted).

The slight sympathy I held for Cal kind of evaporated once it was shown his wife was still alive.
Not sure why he wouldn't have been allowed to tell Skye that she survived Whitehall's experiments.
