I liked it as well. I thought the casting was excellent, and I liked the dark tone of the show. I also loved how they have set up the current and upcoming criminal problem that Gotham has, and how the peace for the masses was being maintained up to this point by Falcone, which appears about to break loose.
My only probably is I don't know how they plan on stretching this out over more than 3 or 4 seasons without running out of plot points since everyone knows that the only way the city gets cleaned up is by Batman.

one of those "cross that bridge when we get there." theres always that theory that Gotham wasnt THAT awful until Batman showed up and gave rise to the real crazies. i dont think the main point of the show is cleaning up Gotham anyway. it doesnt have to have that end goal in mind. most crime shows never have a happy ending as the end all. its about the characters.

this
I mean if they can just have an awesome development of characters than I will be more than happy with this show...
I love the dynamic they have already with Gordon and Bullock.

I liked it. The acting on pilot episodes is usually a bit over the top. They'll settle into their characters within an episode or two.
Zero problem with any of the casting.

That's true. I never expected the series to end with a "happy ending". I'm just wondering how they plan on stretching it out. But I definitely liked the pilot, and it has potential for the next few seasons at least. Hopefully Fox won't cancel this show like they've been known to do in the past.

a property this big will get a fair shake.

I really hope so. I'm a casual Batman/comic fan at best and I enjoyed the pilot. I think as the episodes progress the nods will become more subtle. And it'll be interesting to see their spin on it all.
Apparently next week's episode will center around Selina Kyle.

Ryan Atwood hasn't aged a day.

Gotta CSB.
The guy who played Mario Pepper was in Kinky Boots on Broadway and I got to meet him backstage after the show.
End CSB.

People need to remember it's a cop show, but with Batman characters.

I liked the guy who played the Penguin, and Gordon wasn't bad, but Donal Logue was just awful. Surprising considering I usually like him a lot.
Hopefully the relationship between him and Gordon isn't as bad and predictable as it looks like it might be.

Overall I liked it. Will def keep up with it. Only thing I didn't like was the cat woman scenes. They all just seemed forced, like they wanted to introduce her and that was the best idea they had. That being said, I think it's going to be good!

Wasn't he also the little brother in wedding crashers?

That's exactly how it came across to me. Which Puts me on the fence. My dad was a cop and hated cop shows. It rubbed off on me since he would point out every single mistake.
