We have a very hard schedule this year.

Personally I think:

W @ Dallas
W vs. Buccaneers
BYE
W @ Lions
W vs. Packers
W @ Panthers
W vs. 49'ers
W vs. Bengals
W vs. Ravens
L @ Steelers
W vs. Panthers
L @ Bears
W vs. Falcons
W @ Buccaneers

We always play shitey against the Steelers and Bears on their turf, especially in the cold weather. However, it's worth noting that we are 26-0 under Payton when not committing a turnover. Now, I guarantee the majority of these wins (prob 70%) came at home, but that's still saying something about this team under Payton. Once we get back Ingram and if we can still have a good, consistent run game, I think we should be able to fair well against those cold road games. If not, we are in for a shite show.

What scares me is we never beat the afc north teams.

We really have to win this Sunday. A loss will almost certainly put us into an 8-8 tailspin.

One other thing that is troublesome about this year is at one point, 4 out of 5 teams will be coming off a bye before they play us--all potential playoff teams including maybe the best D in the league...Cincy, Ravens, Pitt, Chicago.

Thanks Roger.

We play 2 teams immediately following their bye. I was bashed for saying something similar on here. Didn't realize we play Chicago and Cincy coming off a Thursday game for them. Yay

Atlanta and Carolina play 0 teams coming off a bye

Sadly this puts us at 8-8, which after watching this team for 3 games I believe we are. I don't know what's wrong but there is just something off about this team.

Maybe they let all the preseason hype and super bowl picks get to them? Not sure.

These first 3 games are hardly different than the first 3 games of last year if you think about it. The only difference is that we made those plays in the first 2 games to win them. Obviously that hasn't been the case this season. Also, have you seen Carolina's injuries? We aren't losing to them this year.

I understand the Saints haven't been great on the road, but 1-7 on the road this season? Get out of here with that.

W @ Cowboys

W vs Bucs

Bye

W @ Lions

W vs Packers

L @ Panthers

W vs 49ers

W vs Bengals

W vs Ravens

L @ Steelers

W vs Panthers

L @ Bears

W vs Falcons

W @ Bucs

11-5, NFC South Champs.

That first Panthers game could work out well for us...their entire running back corps is hurt for at least a month.

The post-bye schedule is brutal. Right now, the only lock win there is the final game @TB. We will probably lose 1-2 home games (GB, CIN, BAL) and 2-3 more road games (DET, CAR, PIT, CHI), which would put us at 9-11 wins - hopefully we end up closer to 11.

That's the only realistic prediction in this entire thread

i don't see how people are thinking we magically turn this season around from what has been observed these first three games

8-8...I can see us possibly beating Detroit and sweeping Tampa to get us to 10-6, but wont be much better than that

I'm less than confident we will beat the Cowboys. I'm sensing a loss in fact.

You believe the Saints are going to beat the Bengals? That's not even so much of a knock on NO as it is high praise for CIN.
Looking at both teams through 3 games, Cincy will beat NO by 17+ in that game.

I do believe that every other game besides CIN that you have listed as a W, is winnable.

Because the Saints haven't been thrashed yet. Both their L's were close. That's being the optimist. There are some very troublesome things about NO though but EVERY team can say that about themselves. No one looks unbeatable this year.

We're going to lose by 17+ in the dome?

Its the NFL. We'll be favored in that game. We've won our last 18 home games under Payton by an average of 20.

Only an idiot would believe that game isn't at least winnable

This year, yes. I mean I can only call what I've seen through 3 games, things could always change but CIN with Giovani Bernard + Jeremy Hill should have 150+ yards rushing. AJ should be back by that game and their D shuts pass happy teams down.
Absolutely.

Being that it's in the dome, I like our chances against anyone; Seattle, Denver, Cincy... Anyone.

Hey, I would too. CIN is just beast this year. Any given Sunday, I guess is still true though.
