Dude it is $2.50 a month for access to those games. Considering I usually ignore a ton EA titles especially Madden that is really good value.
Plus the 6 hour trials are great. It is how I figured out I was going to skip this year's Madden again, but that I was also going to buy this year's FIFA.
In comparison to the Demo's they released it is a much better option because I was able to look at stuff like seasons and ultimate team.
I don't understand the knocks on it other than it being an EA product.

It's shite dude.
BF4 is old and no one plays it anymore, last years Madden was god awful, last years FIFA is useless now with 15 out, paying $30 for a 6 hour trial just seems dumb. At least Season Ticket was the full game unlimited play for 3 days, that would be worth it, but a 6 hour trial from that? Turrible.
