Too soon. We're supposed to hate today, and get back on the bandwagon tomorrow or Wednesday.

Technically yes, as long as MSU loses twice. The Auburn game will tell us all we need to know about this team, and about our chances for the SEC.

I am leveling off today about the team thank God (Apologies to the fan in the stadium club that I argued with about Miles. I was PISSED and mildly intoxicated)

MSU was a bad matchup for LSU this year with a freak of a DT/NG. Big, physical interior Dlinemen have been LSU's offensive kryptonite since Miles' tenure began. I think LSU matches up better against teams with more athletic d-lines. I haven't paid close attention to the others to know, but I think Preston Smith was widely considered the best DT/NG in the conference. He totally took out any opportunities to run between the tackles and didn't allow a young QB to set his feet on 3rd and long. Play calling needs to improve, but LSU can and will be better. They aren't going to rattle off enough to win the SEC west, but I can see them winning a few that people have already conceded.

I think they matchup well with Auburn, Bama and A&M. Not saying they win these games, but after watching Auburn and Bama give up rushing yards to teams like KState and WV, I think LSU can find success. Of course the formations, play calling and QB play needs to improve, but with a young team you gotta expect progress and more confidence as the season progresses.

For some reason, Chavis has the recipe to stop A&M, but we'll see this year if that recipe is stale.
