I wouldn't meet him in person. If given the opportunity I would turn it down. No way I could separate my respect for the office of the President, from my disrespect for the man currently in that office.

On the topic, Mr. is perfectly fine and has been used for years. But I don't recall it being used a lot until Bush and now with Hussein.

Jesse Jackson almost always referred to the previous president as "Bush," and it was obviously meant to be disrespectful.

My preferred name for the current occupant of the office? FORMER President Barack Obama.

Can't wait for that to be the case. America, hopefully, will be a lot better off when that day comes.
