ETA:
1. Fall Saturday, made inconsiderate plans.
2. Father in Law does not like college FB, so wife raised by questionable character.
3. Wife doesnt acknowledge college ball being played.
4. Wife not in kitchen.

Nailed it.
Sack up this time and do what she wants with a smile, then on Sunday have a very loving talk that she is not respecting your interests, and she knows a year in advance what days are booked.
My wife is not a fan but respects my interests and won't let events like this come between us.
