Trotline update:

I switched from the Amite to bayou manchac at the suggestion of Deepsouth (thanks btw!). Had some mild luck catching a few right when I switched over, then nothing for about a month. Then on a whim while passing a Mexican grocery store, I stopped and bought a bar of Zote, and it changed my life. I have been slaying the catfish since then. Not only do the cats love it, but the gar, brim, and turtles don't touch it which is great. I've probably caught about 20-30 cats within the last month. Mostly 2-3 lbers with a handful of 6 lbers and one 12+ (picture enclosed, my scale only goes up to 10 but he was a big sucker). Thanks for all the trotline advice from everyone here!

Picture isn't great and doesn't really do him justice.
