I'm 160lbs and am around 285W and I'm a weak Cat 3.

165lbs, 295 FTP (though i haven't tested it in a while), and I am a mediocre Cat 5 out here.

Man, I need to come home and do a few races.....

Sounds like you need work on tactics or short-duration power. There is no reason you should be mediocre Cat 5 anywhere with an FTP of ~4W/kg.

TheWiz probably has an FTP north of 340W, he's a fast Cat2!

372. I really have to fix my position. I did 430w for 7mins at the last time trial, and my time was shite. Chocha did the same and he weighs 7-9lbs more than me. I should've been in the 6:45 range. New TT bike for Christmas.

that, and confidence cornering and descending at speed.

but there are some FAST Cat 5s out here who just don't have 10 mass start races under their belts to cat up.

Damn.

I need to get more aero, too. Even though I don't know how, now.

Randy Domingue and I put out similar power at Pensacola. I did 344 and he did 342. He was almost 30 seconds faster!! And I thought I had a decent TT position!

At first I thought it said Jon Voight (sp?). That would've been quite surprising.

John Voight, the dentist?

He used to own a really great Buick LeSabre.

Probably. He might be heavier since he actually has muscles. But he's shorter. I think that makes it where he can disappear from the wind easier.
