That's an absolutely idiotic thing to say and shows the shallowness of your judgment of issues and differing perspectives.

I think strong cases can be made both ways. I support the death penalty immensely in select cases. I must admit that concern over wrongful conviction is a troubling aspect though. Granted wrongful conviction resulting in life in a federal penitentiary is nearly equally as troublesome, though it does offer the slim possibility of exculpatory evidence being presented in the future.
