I think it can be reformed a little. Perhaps only applying the dp in airtight cases with a confession, eye witness, or perfect DNA match. In exchange, the guilty party would be limited to one appeal and the sentence would be carried out in no more than 2 years following the original verdict.

I'm good with that. Why do air tight cases need 10 years of appeals? It's appalling we pay for that shite.
