I don't know a whole lot about that specific camera. I'd get a small, non-flexible tripod she can use in the event you want to take a family photo, etc. As far as the IR remote, type the model of the camera in Amazon/EBay and then "IR remote". It should be $20 or less. Bags are the same way. Best to read reviews on Amazon and pick what fits you best.
Be thankful or hopeful she keeps it simple and doesn't let it turn into a money sink like some of us here.

Thanks. Luckily for me I married one thats smart with her money. She told me to handle finances and agrees that our first purchase once she finishes nursing school is a a new/new to me truck.
