Maybe more of a money board topic but listening to some analyst's, they think the Dow is gonna reach 18K by the end of this year.

One guy, however, thinks there will be a huge market correction sometimes before summer of 2015.

The markets have been scary high for me for some time now but I have been riding the wave.

Bonds and cash are starting to look more and more interesting. The only thing is that bonds and cash are not really earning anything.

Doesn't automatically make the guy an a-hole, though.

More than one, btw. Not necessarily a bad thing. If everyone is on the same side of a market bet, it's time to watch out! Still a challenging investment environment though.

Today the markets were told QE ends this October, and the Fed will work to keep interest rates down for the foreseeable future.

As QE was arguably an assist to the wealthy with monetary flux into investments, while low rates remain an aid to home ownership, I'm confused by some of the posts here.

In terms of the Dow at 18K by the end of this year, IMO there is far more likelihood of that than the Dow retreating to 16K in the same time frame. If the GOP takes both Houses in November, the markets should respond positively.
