South Highlands and Broadmoor will just get better. The trend everywhere is to move back into the city. One day it will catch up in Shreveport.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Shreveport.

Maybe for Broadmoor but SH is slowly in decline. The highlands area is slowly creeping in with Centenary in a downward spiral, the area south of there will only get worse. I hope your right because I love SH and as I mentioned earlier, both of my parents were raised in the area but I just don't know.

IMO, in the next 10 years or so, s. highlands will start to see a decline in price. There will always be a few nice streets and areas of it but as a whole, it has already started changing.

The only thing that's changing is that the old people are dying off or sent to The Glenn and their houses are finally getting renovated. I'm trying to think of one block where it's "already started changing" and can't think of one. There are some multi-unit places that look like shite, but those have been there 50 years.

Thank You Gary and Salmon.

Steveng, You really don't know what the hell you are talking about. Give some examples instead of these over-sweeping theories you have of South Highlands going down the shiter. Where is this slow dwindling of a neighborhood you speak of? Damn son, you are just talking out of your arse.

Anyone who is concerned about getting their belongings stolen out of Springlake or South Highlands sounds poor. Please move to 12 Oaks, Haven, etc.

What a load. Have a friend that lives in Springlake. There Neighbor saw a black guy in broad daylight driving a truck pull into the driveway, hook up to a boat, and drive off. Still haven't found the boat. Watch yo shite if you live in Spring lake.

How about buy a new one?

Your friend's neighbor sounds like a clown for not doing anything about it and needs to move to South Shreveport.

Did I not say in an earlier post that I thought it would happen in the next 10 years? I am pretty sure I did. The north highlands area has gotten horrible and it is my opinion that the area will move southward slowly. What part of "my opinion" do you not get? You don't have to agree with me but it is part of the reason that I chose not to purchase an overpriced old home that needs remodeling. Sorry you don't agree or if I have upset you with that.

ETA: I have also mentioned that I love the area. shite, I was extremely close to buying a house there and lived in SH on Ockley for three years before getting engaged.
