I can see it happening, but I really don't think it happens any time "soon" or next.

what is considered a slump for a powerhouse program? LSU hasn't won a BCS bowl in the last 6 seasons.

From 2001-2007, LSU played and won BCS games in 4/7 seasons (including 2 titles). Since then they've played in (and lost) a BCS game in 1/6 seasons. For a program that was playing at an Elite level, I'd saying go on a 6 season BCS win dry spell is a bit of a slump.

LSU still has the recruits and depth right now. Their team is extremely young and have already won a ranked game. LSU's program is in fantastic shape. The emergence of A&M lately will have more of an impact on OU's and Texas's recruiting.

At least back that up with some reasoning. LSU has supposedly been a "sinking ship" since Miles took over, yet every year they reload and are in the NC discussion.

Absolutely nothing suggests that LSU will be any worse over the next 5 years than they have been the previous 5 years. The current team is stocked full of 4 and 5 star freshman and sophomores. Next year they'll be ranked top 5 preseason easily.

I really don't see how someone can logically say they are nearing a decline.

Agreed.......unfortunately. Losing so much talent year after year will catch up to you. Plus, if and when Miles leaves (I think it's either this year or next), finding a suitable coach in short order would be a nightmare.

On the surface it might seem like we are in for a decline but the team we have now is destined for a run in the next 3 years. Not to mention all the other talent miles has coming in.
