Definitely one of the most intense movies I've seen. Really well written and acted.

Breakfast Club- As a huge 80s movie fan and John Hughes, I couldn't wait to watch this. after 90 minutes of watching it I still wasn't sure what the hell I just watched. so a bunch of kids in detention for 8 hours. maybe I need to watch it again but it didn't come across to me nearly as good as Sixteen Candles or Pretty in Pink. I might be in the minority on this but just my two cents

IMO despite them being Hughes movies it's a bit of an apple and oranges comparison. But as others have said, it probably has to do as well with your age when watching it. I watched it when I was younger as well and could relate better to it maybe. I dunno.
