after looking at it, i wouldnt do it.

sure, Demarco Murray is going to start for you. But is Joique Bell? you already said Tony Romo isn't

now Murray looks like the best back in the NFL right now. Dude is super talented. But lets face, he'll likely get hurt at some point. That hurts his value.

If you would need a RB2, then i'd say do it. But i wouldnt start Joique over Vereen in a PPR league. And him & Gore are near identical in value. So do you really need him? I say no.

I realize TD passes are only 4pts, but Peyton is on another torrid pace, He is clearly the #1 player in fantasy, even with 4pt TD.

so would I give up Peyton for Murray, naw. Not when my RBs are not that bad, & not when I'd be replacing him with Rivers or Romo.

I dont see how you can say that when Vereen will throw out a stinker where he only gets 7 touches like he did last wk.

2 wks is a small sample size but -
Vereen 13 carries, 10 targets on the year
Joique 25 carries, 12 targets on the year

Joique is in the much better offense and is the workhorse in the committee and gets targeted just as much as Vereen does in the passing game if not more. He had 53 receptions last year. He also gets all the goaline work. He also plays 9 games inside a dome this year. I like Vereen this year too, and Im actually starting both of them on the same team this wk in a PPR, but I think Bell has considerably more value going forward.

Gore will get hurt. If anyone of all the backs being discussed will get hurt, the most likely is Gore. I know he's had a string of healthy seasons the last few, but before that he was very injury prone. And when is having depth a bad thing. He will need the depth as the season goes forward.

Murray, Joique, Gore, Spiller, Vereen, Pierce, Fred Jackson. That is a championship backfield that gives him alot of options throughout the season. He can then take a RB and possibly Rivers/Romo and try to upgrade to someone like Stafford.

I agree with all of that. That's why I'm so torn on this. The only guaranteed starter I gain is Murray. So Romo simply gives me a solid backup QB and Bell adds depth at RB. I'm not terribly comfortable with Rivers at QB is my major concern. Peyton is almost a guaranteed 20 points per game avg. and Rivers can be hit or miss.

But if Rivers can maintain numbers like last year, the addition of Murray really bolsters my RB's and for minimal trade off with Peyton. Perhaps I could parlay another trade with my deeper bench for a better QB to then replace Rivers?
