Sorry, his offhand quote doesn't make up for the actual content of the Constitution.

Not to mention Jefferson and Franklin were clearly Deist.

Thanks. I've never read that. I'm assuming it's a letter written his old age since he refers to 'fathers' as if he were not one of the founders.
