There stadium now isn't that old is it?? I remember going to the one before during its last year.

The Ted opened in 1996 for the Olympics, '97 for baseball. We're only getting 20 years out of it, GSU might take it over for football but that deal is far from done.

Oh trust me, it will be sponsored.

That's the least objectionable part of this project (SunTrust is at least an Atlanta company).

Y'all watching the live stream? There are like 50 people holding shovels. Good grief.

Yeah I don't have any problem with sponsorships if it helps take burden off tax payers. Granted this will be the first stadium in Atlanta with a corporate name (new falcons stadium to follow shortly).

Suntrust park isn't a bad name, just blindsided me.

Yeah, they will probably be selling the shovels and construction hats on mlb.com right after.

I'm guessing half of them are the Cobb commissioners who robbed county taxpayers.

It was pretty much understood we'd have a corporate name on the stadium, wasn't it?

I couldn't care less what they call it long as it's nice.

Yeah, I just hate that shite.

Also, kudos for using couldn't instead of could like most of these neanderthals.

In looking at the new renderings, it looks like the overhang is much shorter now and I swear the old renderings seemed to show wood being used as a part of it, now its all metal.

Probably due to steel being easier to construct.

Plus are they just moving the same video board from turner out to Cobb? Hell it even has the same baseball on the back of it

Have a good time. Turner Field is actually nice and you will be wondering why we are building this new one. There are reasons.

Luckily the income from the whole complex will help us pay for the players to have a good team. We just need to have smarter people picking those players.

I love how the #BARVES are white-flighting 50 years after it was cool.
