agreed. I know I don't want to see Jennings chucking it up 25 times a game. he will throw at least 2 picks doing that.

If Jennings could hit a screen, short and intermediate pass, fans wouldn't be worried. As long as those chains are moving, all is good. So far Jennings looks like Jefferson in the passing game but a way better decision maker and leader. I think Jennings will turn out to be a lot better than Jefferson as a passer and I think it'll be sooner rather than later.
I don't think the TE's will be used much this weekend bc Miss St's DLine is their strength. I do think we will use them against Auburn though bc they done have Lawson and we will need points to win. I think our passin game will come alive against Auburn and we will see what our offense can really do then. We can live off our D and runnin game until Auburn.

I'm not saying that with this offense AJ should be throwing it 25 times a game either, but what evidence is there that he would throw "at least 2 picks" if he did?

In 3 games this year he has thrown 1 INT, and the ONLY reason that ball was picked is because his WR got knocked down before the ball got there. The pass was on target.

No QB is perfect, but outside of the screen passes AJ has generally been on target and hasn't made many bad throws. He's been much more accurate on the deep ball than Mettenberger ever was, and he's been solid on the 7-15 yard routes. LSU just doesn't run a ton of them. Go back and look at the two big 3rd passes to Diarse in the Wisc. game. Both were well placed, and more importantly, on time. Diarse doesn't get an opportunity to break tackles after the catch if the balls are late. There were several other passes that game that were placed well. The Wisc. DBs just made nice plays.

I think AJ has looked fine as a passer. The playcalling has hamstrung him a bit because many times he's throwing in known passing situations (3rd and long) or the play only has one, maybe two receivers in the route. If that guy is well covered, then the play is essentially over.

LSU isn't built to have an A&M type passing game, and that's ok. With team loading up to stop the run, it might be nice to see the offense spread the formation out a bit on 1st and 2nd down. Use the TE's a bit more over the middle. Right now LSU is very predictable.

With good dbs I reluctantly agree he's likely to turn it over. I just don't want to be so conservative that Bama tees off on us.
