He posted the Charlize Theron thing, and it's a matter of public record what state court she adopted in. He also had posts talking about his high school, college, and law school alma maters, which made it pretty easy to match up which judge in that court was leaking to TD. Not exactly NSA-level stuff.

High traffic boards, especially conservative ones, are monitored by the thought police in law enforcement.

I think there was a case a while back where the owners of a message board had to reveal the ID of one poster due to some legal issues.

A person I know of was an federal gov employee, who was posting some harsh things on another message board. A few days later, this person gets a call from the higher ups telling this person to knock it off.

Be careful what & how you post, especially on political boards.
I am more than capable of taking care of my family and myself but several years ago I was talking huge smack with some other posters on another site.
I would reveal small things about who I was and what I did. A poster on this site put two and two together and 'stalked' me for a little while.

This poster knew not to confront me but still it was a little unnerving, especially for my family.
