Agree, totally blew Amazing Spider Man 2 away. How can one Marvel movie be so good and one so bad.

Sadly Marvel studios doesn't have the rights to Spider Man.

Up until Guardians of the Galaxy, this surpassed The Avengers as my favorite Marvel movie.

First one got dragged down too much because it was the origin story. This one allowed them to do a lot more from a storytelling standpoint. Was very good.

I actually didn't mind the first one.

Me, either. Rather enjoyed it. It was slow, but was an origin story. Now the second one was freaking awesome. I actually liked it more than Guardians.

It was good, but I think GotG was better.

I messed up and got caught in the hype of GotG before I saw it. Went in expecting it to blow my socks off. Still enjoyed it, though.

If GotG was a running back, it'd be Fournette ;)

it was dragged down b/c the neutered most of the action sequences.

Cap has to jump over an exploding factory and it cuts out leaving us to "worry" that he didn't make it even though we are only halfway through a movie that is named after him.

Then once he gets his team together instead of one long arse beastly action sequence we get a montage of a few short punches, explosions, and Red Skull yelling about CA fricking his shite up.

Arguably the best of the Marvel series so far. Either that or Guardians of the Galaxy thus far.

I needed the origin of CA because I didn't read a lot of his comics growing up. Enjoyed both, but 2 was the better action movie. As many have said, the fights were incredible. With Caps limited powers, his technical skills were really showcased well.

For anyone who might know: Who was the guy who was kind of the lead henchman - he was with Cap on the attack on the ship, he was the main guy fighting cap in the elevator and he fought the Falcon for a good while towards the end.

Was he someone from the comics? He seemed to have a pretty major part in the movie.

Brock Grumlow, aka Crossbones, is a super villain/assassin in the comics.

He is basically an evil Punisher-like character.

Thanks Scruffy.

Heck, maybe we'll get to see the Taskmaster in one of the upcoming movies.

I watched the other night and enjoyed it. Better than the first although I did like the first. I really never read the comics but the movie seemed to try and put CA and black widow together. Were they ever a couple in the comics?

I don't think they do, but I can't remember. I know Widow and Winter Soldier have a relationship. Captain has a relationship with Agent 13, nurse next door, in the comics for a while.

I was dragged to the theatre to watch it, I thought the first one sucked so I didn't have much interest in checking this one out. I was blown away with how awesome it was. It was like a superhero movie mixed with some bourne/bond type action scenes. Highly recommend it.

For me its simply bc CA is not that interesting

good point. He's definitely the most bland character in this marvel universe. Fortunately for the film there's very strong supporting characters that helped out.
