Yep. The good ole HPFP. Ford blames water in the fuel. Bosch blames lack of lubricant in the low sulfur diesel. I blame it on the fuel pump being a POS. But yeah, that causes huge problems if it grenades. I will be replacing mine at 100k for cheap insurance.

Ford tried to not pay for it saying that he had water in his fuel.
Such a load of bullshite. For future reference to those who have one, I think he got around that issue by showing them that the WIF sensor was working and never triggered.
This happened with a 2013 with 50k miles.
I'm not sure what causes it. Bosch pumps are used on a whole lot of engines with no issues.
