Mckinnons big problem right now is just learning his role.

Pass protection, route running, patience with the running game. These all take time. However, Asiata is not explosive or really talented. He is a plodder that will get you points only on volume. Plus if he is not sharing the backfield with anyone, he is strong.

No doubt short term Asiata is the start. But how about three weeks down the line? Mckinnon is a former qb who was switched all over the place in college, so he likely isn't stupid.

How long will it take for him to become ok at pass protection? Even if not, if he stays in for running snapps, he is still worth it.

Some are saying Peterson will lose low end six games just based on the domestic abuse policy they have. It could be all year.

In this case, if you stash Jeremy Hill, do you drop him and pick up Mckinnon? Hill likely has a decent ceiling.

I am torn. I am in 14 team league with only 2 bench spots. qb,rb,rb wr,wr,flex,k, def.

with only two bench spots, it is tough to hold onto someone. Now that being said, Mckinnon could be a beast down the road. By week six, he could be it. Jeremy Hill likely is still time sharing with Gio at best.

I'm guessing dropping Hill would make sense here, though he is in line for more carries and could in fact vulture the majority of the tds.

It is a tough call here. The only other bench spot I have is Carlos Hyde, who is a flex option now.

Tough call. Right now I have Peyton, Foster, West, Hunter, Cook, Hyde and Hill. I suppose I could cut West, but he has a pretty high upside these next three weeks till the bye and tate comes back. Hyde or Hill could be the rb2 and keep Mckinnon on the bench.

Seems like a heck of a lot of ifs to hold onto Mckinnon for something that may not happen for Hyde. But what about Hill? West is kind of needed for this week as rb2. Tough choice.
