Definitely understand that one. Civ is like crack. I have to stop myself from playing. My girlfriend, her two brothers, and I go on all day binges that always end up with someone upset with someone else. I don't know why, but I always end up with my own island or some shite while everyone else is at each other's throats.

June 2013 because I had a UT before that on PC, but that's my proof (and a little bit of boasting). 59th minute trading plus some people who aren't used to the market got me that stack of coins. Flipping cards for 40% profits won't be nearly as easy to do once new people learn how to trade. I just sit on the web app to buy and sell when I'm browsing the web. I just check averages and buy up anything that'll get me a semi-decent profit. It's all about trading it bulk, not for big profits. I just ended up with both last night. Actually, I ended up buying two Remy cards for 12,000-14,000 and sold them for 23,000-24,000, and that gave me a big chunk of change to play with. I ended up buying another Remy later, though. He's insane.

Eddie Johnson is a god. He's just all around fun to play.
I'll look into a decent American squad.
Playing a 4-1-2-1-2 with the two CMs, I'd pick up Fabian Johnson, Lamar Neagle, John Anthony Brooks, and possibly Yedlin. Besler's solid in the back. Jermaine Jones at the CDM. Donovan at the CAM. Dempsey and either Jozy or Eddie Johnson at the ST. Be careful with Bradley. I've had bad experiences with him in the past. The rest are personal preference.

He's one of the fastest players in-game. He's deadly for those pace hybrids. Castillo isn't a bad replacement at LB in terms of speed, but his defending isn't that great. My American hybrid last year that was the best it could possibly be cost me around 60k, but I had an in-form Howard and Eddie Johnson was absurdly expensive.

Oh master can you teach us the secret ways of flipping cards for crazy profit?
Also, you should make a guide of simple tips that even noobs can implement that will really improve one's game. Stuff that's not super obvious either, like press RB and B from the edge of the box to hit a perfect, curling finesse shot. That kind of stuff seems obvious enough but I bet you have a bunch of simple tricks that most people don't even think about.

My best friend and I used to play constantly. We would LAN that and borderlands 2 for hours on end. 14 hour marathons were not uncommon
Now my girlfriend has moved in with me and he's engaged...we have to make time to play for a couple hours. Screw growing up

I just finished setting up my all-gold 4-4-2 diamond Premier League squad that's a 77 overall with 100 chemistry, all before playing a single match. Those loyalty packs (I've attempted to play FUT these last two years with zero luck) really did the trick. Aaron Ramsey is the only rare card I've got.
What's the best way to build up a squad now that I've got the base created? Go for gold packs? And what are the quickest ways to get coins?

Get a nice solid 78-79 starter squad that you are comfortable with, then you can either A) Grind for coins by playing in matches, or B) Buy some FIFA points and open gold packs and list the players that don't fit your system on the transfer market for profit.
Either works, I use a combination.
Side note, on the main FIFA 15 menu, if you go to the store catalogue you can purchase coin boosts per match played. They range from 200 extra coins every match for 10 matches too 1000 extra coins for 5 matches. There's a bunch of other hidden goodies in the catalog as well like goal celebrations, contracts, rare historic kits, and even REALLY good players that you can bring in on loan for a few matches.

Just play matches and slowly build up your squad. Don't buy packs with coins, especially now. You'll end up broke with tons of badges and stadia. Fill in your trouble positions with mid-level players. My squad's not rated much higher than yours, but the players I got are all better than their stats. Aaron Ramsey is an awesome card to build around. I just scored a hat trick with him.
When I'm not so exhausted tomorrow, I'll try to write up some coin making tips. It's not really that much fun, but the tedious shite pays off later when you're crushing people.
EDIT: I forgot about coin boosts. Those 1000 coin boosts are a huge boost.

How much do you usually shoot for under the going rate when mass bidding? I've been doing 10%. I don't really have any experience mass bidding on players. I just traded Manager League cards the few months I played UT on 14. That market is mediocre as frick right now, though.

10-15% is a safe bet. I try to keep my average investment per item around that with some higher and lower. If I can get the overall investment per card down a bit over a week's time, it's money. Last year around TOTY time, I bought 300-400k in CF>ST cards. I was buying them at 500 a piece, and when I sold them, I was selling them at 1500 a piece. I had so many it was insane. Listing them all was torture but being loaded was worth it.

Ultimate Team is one of the most addictive things I've ever come into contact with. I remember making fun of it when it came out in '09 as purchased DLC. Now I'm addicted enough to spend time using trading techniques and shite. If I put half of the effort in anything else that I put into FUT, I would have done something awesome in life by now.
Holy shite, he's worth a nice chunk of change. Good stuff.
