I don't have a problem with what I read of Obama's speech, but I don't think it's true that the big time terrorists, including the 9/11 guys, are poor. Seem to remember they were well-educated and affluent.

All 12 men identified in the 1993 attack on the WTC had university educations.
Of the 25 9/11 hijackers and planners identified, give or take 18 had a university education, and a significant number were engineers (12, I think).

Neither Obama nor I said anything different, and he and I both think we should concern ourselves with more than just big-time terrorists.
The difference between Obama and me on this is that he may think that eradicating poverty, ignorance, and hopelessness will do more good than I do. But it is a factor worth mentioning a day after of 13 years after.
