would bet his laser time is between 4.4 and 4.5. People calling him a sub 4.4 guy are high on some good shite. AD ran a 4.4 flat and I can't think of a faster guy at that size.
People still don't understand that Peterson was never anywhere near 230lbs. Peterson was 6'2 207 when he entered college. He would be our smallest back right now. When he left, he was 218. Fournette is 6'0-6'1 230lbs That is a huge difference. He's built like a tank with insanely quick feet and once be gets a full head of steam. he's gone.
Let's say he loses 10lbs. I would expect him to not only get faster, but even more shifty, and increase his initial explosion.
For example, Todd Gurley was listed at 6'1 207 on 247sports, on Scout 6'1 210 Rivals, 6'1 195, on ESPN 6'0 205. So I'd go with 247. He was listed at 231 his sophomore year (gaining 24lbs!). UGA now lists him at 226.
He is still bigger than both of these guys, and was never small even as a junior in high school. Maybe his college junior year he tones up even more finishing around 220, but more muscle. That's when the AP comparisons will really explode.
Once he gets acclimated to the game, and gets the blocking (Welcome back Porter), the hype will be insane again.
Note: I'm not saying he's better than those guys right now, what I am saying is that he is comparable to them tool wise (speed, strength, hands, feet) at 20lbs more coming out of high school, and that's just after watching 2 games. This guy will be starting at some point in the season, and the debate about he's not this, or he's not that, will be over with the swiftness.
