True...I guess when I think of it, like many, I include New Orleans in the final tally.

I guess it depends on how you look at it. We won, we withdrew.
The Vietnamese certainly view the Battle_of_Ia_Drang as a win because the include the entire period their troops were in action not just the initial few days. Perspective I suppose.
That being said we should have left Afghanistan the day after Bin Laden died. I don't give a frick about nation building the mission was to smoke Bin Laden, and he was.
