Every year I do my own unscientific hurricane study during the week of the 4th of July in Gulf Shores. I predict the hurricane season based on the water temperature. The water this year was the coldest I can ever remember......my analysis....very mild hurricane season.

Yeah, but you don't have a pHD, so WTF do you know... do you even peer review, bro?

Upper level wind patterns have a big influence on storm formation too. Contrary to popular global average temperatures aren't the sole (or even main) determinate of weather.

That only works if you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. Otherwise your scientific method is suspect.
