I come to the OT wanting to say mean things about an 80 year old woman that had enough plastic in her face to build a model car but then I think to myself its not worth it. The fact that she had a traveling doctor with her say's a lot to her health already. I don't understand what's wrong with growing old. I know many friends that will never get the opportunity because their life was cut short at an early age. I think growing old is a good thing and is to be respected by those around you because of the life experiences you were able to share. When I speak to people who fought in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, it feels like stepping into a time machine and really appreciate what they went through. It's pretty awesome to read about the battle of the bulge but I much rather prefer the conversation I had with a man that not only fought in the battle of the bulge but stormed the beaches at Normandy.
When you see an old person don't just walk by and stare stop and say hello in there.
