I think its funny how so many people say they support freedom, but only if, with that freedom, you make choices they agree with.

Interesting, so if all soldiers had to praise Allah, you'd be cool with it?

I bet they do exactly that in Muslin countries army. As a matter if fact, I'm positive they do. So, kindly STFU

The Airforce is a government run, tax funded organization. The fact that this is an issue in 2014 is laughable. We should have evolved as a society to have been rid of foolishness like this by now.

Since it is a govt run tax funded org, twits like you have no regard for the poor folks who have to manage it. You don't care how it performs, as you would if it was a private business. You only care if all the members are on board with pole smokin' and atheism.

Pole smokin' and atheism has never won any wars son.

did you really just compare this situation with what goes on in Muslim countries?

slingcode you have a compatriot in stupidity right here. You two would get along famously.

Sure I do, it would probably be a lot easier to run if the rules were secular. Nice personal attack by the way.

Neither has swearing to a deity. Which do you think starts more wars, atheism or deism?

Was this supposed to be clever?

I think it's funny how some people are mystified about people who support freedom and somehow have an opinion.

Such anger Cruiserhog. You really should chill before you have a stroke. Maybe find that atheist Air Force dude, hold hands and sing kumbaya.

This airman wants to use his religious beliefs to disobey a rule everyone else has to follow.

And I fully support him in doing so. There is no compelling government interest in enforcing that provision on an atheist.

And some jack arse is trying to impose his lack of religious beliefs on the Air Force.

That's pretty backwards assed way to look at it. As previously posted the god part was optional so everyone had a choice until some jackass decided to make it mandatory. So who's imposing beliefs? Think about it genius.

The Air Force has instructed force support offices across the service to allow both enlisted members and officers to omit the words “So help me God” from enlistment and officer appointment oaths if an Airman chooses.
