Yes and the New Capitol is historic as well. I'd look into a tour of the old Governor's Mansion too I guess.

Nah, but you could find some around Port Hudson and other areas in St. Fran.
The whole area around the new capitol is cool. Pentagon Barracks, the garden, etc.
U.S.S. Kidd may be cool to check out, I haven't been since I was little.
LSU's campus itself is great to explore (architecture, Mike the Tiger).
Take a stroll through Spanish Town and Beauregard Town.
Other than that... Ehh... For historical stuff, you're better off in St. Francisville or New Orleans (obviously).
