What is your affiliation with the New Orleans Saints?

Just curious as to why so many of you use first person plural pronouns when referring to the Saints.

This argument always bothers me. We is clearly used to establish that you are a fan of a team. When you say they, it sounds like you are distancing yourself from the team.

My thousands of dollars in season tickets over a decade and a half and my state income taxes over an even longer period have been used to pay Saints players, update the practice facility, renovate the Dome and line Benson's pocket. I can say "we."

I pay taxes to the state,who than gives money to the Benson empire. So I guess that makes me part of the Saints.
